Alesha Dykema is a thirty-something-year-old author of thriller novels. She lives in the dreadful Midwest with her husband who is somehow even weirder than her (though he won’t admit it), three feral children masquerading as civilized humans, one geriatric dog named Frank who screams like a human when he’s excited, and one inherited obese cat who is going to see the face of God sooner than anticipated if she keeps peeing on the carpet.
When she isn’t plotting creative ways to traumatize her characters, Alesha used to enjoy reading, obsessing over health and fitness, or enjoying a nice cold beer with her husband. But having three children, though the joy of her life, has completely stolen most free time for hobbies.
Alesha is incredibly anti-social and firmly believes she’d thrive in an off-grid cabin deep in the woods. Unfortunately, her husband remains stubbornly opposed to her best ideas, so suburbia it is.
Despite her anti-social tendencies, she genuinely enjoys meeting new people and having casual conversations, especially weird ones.
